Developing small molecule therapeutics to prevent hearing loss
At Jacaranda, we are spearheading an innovative approach to prevent or halt the progression of hearing loss. Our pioneering endeavor is based on designing small molecules that restore the delicate equilibrium of ER stress. Our research initiatives are focused on combating two prevalent forms of hearing loss: noise-induced hearing loss and drug-induced hearing loss. Our programs are tailored to address the specific challenges posed by ototoxicity induced by widely used agents such as Cisplatin (CIS) and Aminoglycosides (AG).
