Steve Sherr serves as JBI’s Chief Executive Officer and leads the Company’s core business functions. For the past 30 years, he has provided strategic advice, legal/regulatory counsel, and executive leadership to a wide range of companies including emerging firms and established leaders in semiconductors, software, financial services, biotech, clean-tech, energy, entertainment, and heavy industrials. Over the past ten years, as a co-founder and C-level executive for emerging companies, Sherr has also successfully closed on over two dozen financing transactions yielding over $270M in debt and equity from seed and institutional investors and over $40M in state and federal grants. Prior to working with Jacaranda, Sherr, who is a member of the California Bar, was a partner at Howard Rice (now Arnold & Porter) in San Francisco, where he served as counsel for emerging technology ventures, Fortune 500 companies, California state agencies and a large California public utility.  While in private practice, he developed expertise and managed dispute resolution teams in matters involving complex commercial transactions, intellectual property, and securities law. Sherr holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley.
